The Educational Computing Organization of Ontario (ECOO) http://www.ecoo.org will be holding its 30th annual conference November 11-13, 2009, at the Sheraton Parkway North, in Richmond Hill, Ontario. Conference registration begins in September and Early Bird pricing is in effect until October.

An Off-Road Event of Women Directors. This momentous event will showcase the talents of four of Canada's top women directors in four productions running in November 2009. The shows, culled from the international repertoire of plays by women, represent some of the finest contemporary voices writing for the world stage.

The Festival will also present a Director's Summit (November 13-22).

Educators for Social Change is a committed group of educators who share a passion for improving the current education system for both students and teachers. The purpose of this newsletter is to create awareness of the current challenges that schools boards, educators, teachers, administrators and most importantly our students are facing.

Educators for Social Change also aims to create a space for educators to voice their concerns, share their opinions, and develop a support system in order to implement change.

ESC is committed but not limited to three areas: equity, social justice issues and character development. Every newsletter will include articles on these topics as well as useful resources, personal stories and lesson plans adaptable for all grades.

We appreciate any feedback and also want to invite you to be a part of Educators for Social Change. We welcome any articles, lesson plans, book reviews, quotes, information about related events, and personal reflections.
